Our school song was written by Melanie Johnson using comments made by staff members in a collaborative effort. The recording below was made during the Annual Holiday Party on December 15, 2000. Melanie Johnson is playing the acoustic guitar and Tripp Bratton is playing the drums. This was recorded by David Henderson.
We could walk but we would rather run
Through the door each day with the morning sun
This is just the place we want to be
We're not just a school, we’re a family
Sing for joy and happiness
Sing for open arms and CMS
We've got work to do, learning all day long
Making minds and hearts and spirits strong
You will hear some laughter and see us play
Everything we gain never goes away
Sing for joy and happiness
Sing for open arms and CMS
Years from now, when we go, when we are grown,
We know we'll come back here, it's so much like home
But it will seem a lot smaller!
There is something special in this place
You can see the smiles on every face
With the freedom to explore and choose
We are ready for life--WE THANK YOU!
Sing for joy and happiness
Sing for open arms and CMS
